Choose of concentration of starchtaiga2001-06-05Click here to register.
Hello,
It is to separate free selenium from selenoproteinate in aqueous solution. If I prepare a aqueous solution of starch at the concentration 1g /100 mL of water for reservoir and in tubing the solution is 1 g of proteinate in 100 mL of water, will I have good concentrations to do dialyse or must I do try another concentration for starch.
Thank you

That's a good place to start. A better choice than plain starch would either be crosslinked starch (like Spectra/Gel) or high molecular weight dextrans (try Sigma Chemical), but plain starch will probably work.

If you find the bags trying to fill with water and burst, use more starch outside. If the bags seem to empty themselves use a little less starch.

Thanks for visiting.
