Problem with dialysisKatarzyna2011-01-17Click here to register.
I`m using float-a-lyser MW 0,5-1kDa to remove excess of glucose (MW 180Da) from polymer (~3200Da). Unfortunately, even after 6 days, concentration of glucose in tube is very high (we started from ~30mM after six days concentration was ~20mM).
Thank you for any advice!

Dear Katarzyna, how often did you change out the buffer during those 6 days? You can also try a higher MWCO, our 3.5-5kD. You can contact me at sle@spectrumlabs.com for a sample of this MWCO.

Dear Stevele, exactly: 0, 1, 3, 6, 8, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 144h. But, please remember that our smallest polymer has MW= 3256Da, I do not have guarantee that my compound stays in tube with MWCO 3,5-5kDa? Thank you for any help.

Dear Katarzyna, you are correct with the 3.5-5kDa MWCO you might lose some of your smallest polymers. If you want the highest recovery you will have to stick with the 500-1000Da MWCO.

Thanks for visiting.
