We are experiencing problems with our polymer leaking through the mechanical seals (clips, medicell) we use. The tubing we use is MWCO 12-14Kda Cellulose acetate from Visking. Is there an alternative which can be e.g. heat sealed or otherwise hermetically sealed? Thanks.

Heat sealing the membrane is not recommended. An alternate solution would be to use Spectrum’s Float-A-Lyzer G2 which is a cellulose ester based membrane in a ready to use devices that requires no clamping.
