Hi,
I have purified recombinant KMP-11 protein It's molecular weight is 11 kilodaltons. I would like to dialyse my protein as it contains high concentration of imidazole during purification. I wonder to know what pore size of dialysis cellulose membranes (any company product) are suitable for the purification of the above mentioned size of proteins. It would be grateful for me if you could provide me answer to my question.
Thanks
Renu

Dialysis most efficiently removes lower MW species the larger the pores are. Since the MW of imidizole is 68 Daltons and your protein is 11 kiloDaltons, it is best to use either Spectrum Labs 8-10 kD or 3.5 - 5 kD Biotech CE dialysis membrane (http://www.spectrapor.com/dialysis/BiotechTubing.html) or our 6-8 kD Standard RC membrane (http://www.spectrapor.com/dialysis/RCtubing.html).

Thanks for visiting.
