Soaking dialysis tubing requires 15 to 30 minutes of soaking per http://www.spectrapor.com/dialysis/FAQ.html. Is allowing the tubes to soak for day or more cause any breakdown/change of the tubing membrane?

Soaking tubes in DI water for an extended period of time does not cause any breakdown or change in the membrane. Pre-wetted tubing only requires 15 to 30 minutes of soaking. Dry membranes with glycerol should be soaked for 30 to 45 minutes before use.
